Christmas Lights Project , more...

Out and about again tonight shooting Christmas Lights for our "Christmas Lights in the Pinebelt" DVD project. We went to a really elaborate "Winter Wonderland" this evening and spend an hour shooting wide shots, close ups, and tons of angles of the place.

I'm shooting this in HD with my Canon HV30 and picking up select closeups with the Flip Ultra HD, which does surprisingly well in low light. Edith caries the Flip and shoots static shots while I shoot pans, vistas, and other angles.

All of this will be mixed down and edited to music for the DVD. We got the displays in for the DVD's today. These are the boxes the DVDs will be in at stores so folks can buy one. We have one more stop to tape and then the editing begins. My plan is to have the whole thing done and uploaded to my replicator by Wednesday.

Below is a great shot Edith got at this place with the Flip tonight. The flash version doesn't do it justice here, it looks much better in full HD. But you can see a cool clip anyway.

This has been a fun project and with a little luck and marketing, we should sell a bunch of them. (keeping fingers crossed)
I'm beat so time to crash. Enjoy the clip!
J.
